  • Sunflower Sensory Bin

    MATERIALS

    DIRECTIONS

    • add 1 cup of rice to a ziploc bag

    • add 1 teaspoon of vinegar

    • add food coloring (more coloring = more intense color)

    • once combined, zip the bag closed and shake well

    • lay the rice on parchment paper to dry

    • once dry, combine rice, pom poms, leaves, and tools to a shallow container

  • Paper Towel Sunflower Stamps

    MATERIALS

    DIRECTIONS

    • start with a toilet paper or paper towel roll

    • the length of the roll should be about 4-5 inches

    • use scissors to cut small straight slits down (about 2 inches long)

    • leave about .5 an in inch between each cut

    • once cut, fold the edges out so the bottom is splayed out

    • press the ends of the roll in paint and stamp flowers on white paper

    • add leaves and any artistic elements

  • Carrot Footprints

    MATERIALS

    DIRECTIONS

    • paint your little one’s foot with orange paint

    • stamp both feet on white paper

    • once dry, cut out both feet

    • mount on orange paper and cut around

    • cut out a triangle out of green paper

    • glue the tip of the triangle to the back of the orange paper

    • use scissors to make several straight lines going down to make the green top for the carrot

    • you can write “I carrot A LOT about you!” in black marker around the border!

  • Fruits & Veggies Stamping

    MATERIALS

    • lemons (2)

    • package of celery

    • paint

    • Knife (for adults only)

    • white paper

    DIRECTIONS

    • cut lemons in half

    • cut the bottom off a stalk of celery

    • dip the lemon or celery in paint and stamp it on white paper

    • a great way to use old food or parts that normally get tossed!

  • Bubble Snakes

    MATERIALS

    • bowl

    • dish soap

    • water

    • empty plastic water bottle

    • elastic or hair tie

    • old sock (long)

    DIRECTIONS

    • cut off the bottom of a water bottle (about ½ inch)

    • Slide the sock over the cut end and secure it with an elastic

    • add water and a few drops of dish soap to a bowl

    • dip the end of the bottle with the sock into the bubble solution

    • then blow on the mouthpiece of the water bottle

    • watch the bubble snakes appear!
