  • Ripped Paper Apple

    MATERIALS

    DIRECTIONS

    • use a marker and draw two small C shapes on each side of the plate (think apple core shape!)

    • cut out the sides

    • rip small pieces of red, green, or yellow pieces of paper

    • glue the paper to the top and bottom sections of the apple

    • add a small brown rectangle stem to the top

    • draw in some apple seeds with a black marker!

  • Apple Playdough

    MATERIALS

    • 2 cups flour

    • ½ cup vegetable oil

    • apple pie spice

    • rolling pin and cookie cutters

    DIRECTIONS

    • add all ingredients to a bowl and mix well

    • form into a moldable dough

    • use a rolling pin and/or cookie cutters for play!

  • Apple Pie Sensory Bin

    MATERIALS

    • a shallow container or pie dish (for fun!)

    • rolled oats

    • play apples

    • small baking dishes or a muffin tin

    • cooking tools

    DIRECTIONS

    • add rolled oats, apples, and cooking tools to a pie dish or container

    • mix and play!

    • great for fine motor work, imagination, creativity, and storytelling!

  • Apple Suncatchers

    MATERIALS

    DIRECTIONS

    • cut out an oval shape out of contact paper

    • remove the backing of the contact paper

    • add tissue paper squares to the sticky side (red, yellow, green)

    • cut out a small brown rectangle for the stem

    • hang in the window and enjoy!

  • Pete the Cat Handprint

    MATERIALS

    DIRECTIONS

    • paint your little one’s hand with blue paint and stamp on white paper

    • once dry, cut out around their hand leaving a small white border

    • cut out four small boots out of red paper

    • place the handprint so the fingers are facing down

    • then glue one boot to the end of each fingertip

    • cut out pete the cat’s head out of blue paper

    • glue the head on top

    • add yellow eyes, whiskers, and a nose

  • Pete the Cat Hats

    MATERIALS

    DIRECTIONS

    • draw and cut out a Pete the Cat face outline with two ears

    • cut two almond shape eyes out of yellow paper and glue them to the face

    • draw in black dots for eyes. you can also add white circles inside (optional)

    • cut out a small white triangle and glue it underneath the eyes so it is upside down

    • cut a long blue rectangle and staple it to one side of Pete’s face

    • then measure the other side around your little one’s head and staple on the other side so it is snug but not too tight!

  • Mouse Hats

    MATERIALS

    DIRECTIONS

    • start with a long piece of brown construction paper with a small snout in the middle

    • cut out two brown ears

    • cut out the inside of the ears with pink paper and glue to the brown

    • cut out a pink nose (almost an upside down triangle)

    • glue the nose on the snout

    • glue the ears to the top of the headband

    • use markers to add eyes and whiskers to the front

    • cut out a long piece of brown paper and staple it to one side

    • measure their head and staple the other side

  • Cookie Playdough

    MATERIALS

    • saucepan

    • 1 cup flour

    • ¼ cup salt

    • 1 tsp cream of tartar

    • 1 cup water

    • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

    • 1 tbsp vanilla extract

    • chocolate chips

    • cookie cutters

    DIRECTIONS

    • combine all ingredients except chocolate chips into a saucepan

    • cook over medium heat until dough forms stirring throughout

    • remove dough to a cutting board and add the chocolate chips

    • wait until cool and play!

    • so fun to mold and shape!
