MATERIALS

• blue and red boxed jello-o

• washable container

• star cookie cutters

DIRECTIONS

• prepare Jell-O according to package instructions

• add to a shallow washable bin

• add star cookie cutters to make fun shapes

• this one is messy so it’s a perfect outdoor summer activity!

MATERIALS

• paint

• white paper

• cardboard box

• marbles

DIRECTIONS

• lay a piece of white paper on the bottom of a cardboard box

• add blue and red paint on top of the paper

• add some marbles to the box

• shake the box while the marbles make patterns with the paint!

MATERIALS

• paint

• brown paper lunch bags

• googly eyes or two white paper circles for eyes

• glue stick

• scissors

DIRECTIONS

• begin by painting your bag if you wish

• once dry, have the side with the fold on the bottom of the bag facing you and at the top

• glue googly eyes or glue circles on the folded part of the bag that looks like a rectangle

• use scissors to cut squiggly lines from the opening of the bag to about halfway

MATERIALS

• clear plastic bottle

• cheerios

• small plastic ocean animals

• shells

DIRECTIONS

• blend cheerios in a blender until it is the consistency of sand

• add cheerio sand to a plastic bottle

• add ocean animals and/or shells

• this a great way to experience sand without the mess!

• you can also add this to a shallow container and have your baby explore giving you peace of mind since it is edible!

MATERIALS

• construction paper

• bubble wrap

• paint

• scissors

DIRECTIONS

• cut out the shape of a sea star on construction paper

• pour paint onto a plate and gently press the bubble wrap into the paint

• press the bubble wrap onto the sea star to make patterns!
