  • Petal Dough

    MATERIALS

    • 1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour

    • 1/2 cup of salt

    • 2 tbsp of cream of tartar

    • I cup of boiling water

    • 2 tbsp of coconut oil (or vegetable oil)

    • Food Colouring (optional)

    • 1/2 cup of dried flower petals

    DIRECTIONS

    • combine dry ingredients in a bowl

    • boil water and add to the dry mixture

    • add the coconut oil, food coloring, and petals

    • let cool ad play!

  • Marble Heart Painting

    MATERIALS

    DIRECTIONS

    • cut out the shape of a heart using paper and lay it down flat inside a box

    • put a marble and paint in the box

    • have your child shake the box so the marble mixes around with the paint

    • remove the paper and let it dry

  • Shaving Cream Hearts

    MATERIALS

    DIRECTIONS

    • put shaving cream into the bin

    • add some paint on top

    • have your littles explore the different textures and mix the paint!

    • put the cutout heart on top of the shaving cream

    • take the credit card and scrape the excess off

  • Dragon Puppets

    MATERIALS

    DIRECTIONS

    • holding the bag face up with the fold on the front, fold the two bottom corners of the bag underneath, and tape

    • cut fringe around the opening of the bag with scissors

    • cut out two eyes (2 white circles)

    • one red tongue (a long rectangle about 5 inches)

    • two green antennae (two rectangles 10 inches each)

    • add a black circle to each eye

    • glue construction paper to the bag to create the dragon’s face

    • paint or draw a nose, mouth, and scales

  • Paper Lanterns

    MATERIALS

    DIRECTIONS

    • use a piece of construction paper and fold it the "hot dog" way

    • take a pair of scissors and cut on the creased edge about halfway down leaving 1/2 an inch in between each cut

    • tape or staple the ends of the paper together

    • tape or staple a handle to the top

    • I also used a piece of construction paper on the inside to make it look like the lantern was lit!
